Clubs

• Children are to be picked up no later than 10 minutes after class from a parent or guardian, written permission is required should you wish your child to be allowed to leave unsupervised (this can also be in the form of a text message or email).

• On the rare occasion that the teacher is unavailable to give any class, and a supply teacher cannot be arranged, the lesson will be refunded in the following terms fees.

• All belongings must be clearly labelled with the child’s full name. Staff at Gemstarz will not be responsible for lost uniform/ items. 

 

Fees   

• Fees for the clubs are payable termly in advance via the website.

• Missed classes due to illness/other arrangements will not be refundable.

• Cancelled classes due to weather i.e snow unfortunately will not be refunded.

 

General

• Gemstarz endeavour to ensure that your children are in a safe and comfortable environment. We ask you to collect your child promptly and provide us with written details of changes in pick up arrangements, special medical needs etc.

• Please ensure that Gemstarz receive any changes to a child’s contact details in writing.

• As of 25th May 2018 businesses need to make aware to their customers what happens with their personal information:

 

The information collected is added to a secure database which is on Gemma Cawston’s computer at home which is secured by a password of which only Gemma Cawston and Julie White (Gemstarz Administrator) know. The email address is added to a mailing list which is used for sending promotions and information. The names and medical conditions are printed on the registers which are in a secure folder and are only accessible to staff. All phone numbers are on a secure, password protected database.

 

If you or your child chooses to leave the dance club, all information will be deleted after 3 months of leave, we will have no information on any of our systems. 

 

You also have the right to opt out of any mailing lista, emails, facebook groups etc. If you choose to opt out of the mailing list please be aware you might not receive information/ messages sent by Gemstarz. 

 

• All details will be held in strict confidentiality (Data Protection Act 1998) and will not be passes on to outside parties.

• Children will be asked to leave without notice for any serious breach of the school’s terms and conditions or for any other serious misconduct.

• Gemstarz does not discriminate on background, race or religion, regularly monitors staff to maintain policies and adheres to Health and Safety procedures.

• From time to time it is necessary for staff to use physical contact when helping children improve their posture or assist with movements. This includes physical contact between children and instructors. 

• It is your responsibility to check your emails for information, Gemstarz will not be liable if you do not receive important information. 

• Politeness and good behaviour will be expected by every child at our clubs.

• Rudeness to any staff or each other will not be tolerated from children or parents.

• If you decide you do not want your child to continue at one of our clubs, no refunds wil be given for the rest of the term. 

• I understand and give consent for Gemstarz Dance Fitness to use photographs and video recordings from time to time including on the Gemstarz Dance Fitness Ltd website/ social media for press and promotional development of the school.

• I understand and give permission for my email address to be added onto the Gemstarz Dance Fitness mailing list which is used to email information, if you do not wish to be added onto the mailing list please let Gemma Cawston know this otherwise it will happen automatically. 

• By filling out the registration form online for my son/daughter, I confirm that I accept the aove terms and conditions.
